The Gate : PvP Guide

Here is a simple guide to help you in The Gate's PvP

1.) Make sure you pick your best Monsters for every fight. It doesn't necessarily mean that the team you're gonna use in PvP are the highest level monsters in your stable. It may happen that you will need to use a monster to counter an element on an opposing team's line up.So it is a good practice to level up as many rare and super rare monsters as you can to their max levels.

2.) Use multiple teams when doing PvP. To do this you will need to level up most of your monsters and this will take a toll on your silver coins (Silver Coins Guide Here.)

3.) Make sure you are familiar with the skills of the monsters you are using. Also, make sure that the skills are leveled up. Some monster skills in the game are Area of Effect (AoE) skills, some needs to be targeted to specific enemies, some are passive skills. If you are familiar with these skills then you can easily plan your attack to make the enemies lose health points like a hot knife goes through butter. In PvP, the timing of skill usage is pivotal. It can make or break your attack.**

 4.) Use Auto attack when doing PvP. There are times when your monsters go out of control and try to attack someone who is farther. There are instances where you monster will follow an enemy who is running due to low HP instead of going for another target which is closer or weaker. Make sure to control your monster when that happens. Also, when on auto attack, your monsters automatically uses their skills whenever they are available. This is good at the start of the battle when all your monsters' skills are thrown at the same time therefore dealing more damage and all at the same moment. (same as number 3.)**

**  Cleric's heal timing will also be very important. If you are on auto attack, when any of your monsters receive any damage, be it 1 health point or 5000 Health points, the team heal will be activated. Make sure you time it perfectly instead of having the cleric use the skill when the damage to your monsters is just low.

5.) When selecting enemies, make sure you are familiar with the element strengths and weaknesses. Here is the illustration from the Gatekeeper.

 

6.) Make sure to use Very Fast / Fast monsters. It will be better to use Very Fast / Fast Monsters with AoE skills as it will make PvP life easier for you. But make sure to follow #1 and make all your monsters max level for better results.
